Dr. Micah Nuzum

Our Mission

Our Mission is simple: to provide you with the finest endodontic treatment available anywhere.

Both myself and my staff are dedicated to serving patients in a relaxing, yet professional environment, where they are assured of both outstanding quality and personal attention during their visit.

I am committed to offering the most advanced and clinically proven therapies for each of your endodontic needs, while providing this in both a timely and virtually painless manner.

Contrary to expectations, I offer painless endodontic therapy (e.g. "root canals") to more than 90% of patients that walk through my doors.

I also believe that good communication between myself, the referring doctors, and the patient receiving care, both preoperatively and postoperatively, is critical to the success of the endodontic care provided and the long-term oral health of those we treat.

Practice Profile

Dr. Nuzum grew up in the suburbs of northeast Columbus – the son of a registered nurse and a former NFL lineman, who now pastors a church in north Columbus. He now resides in Wooster with his family, of which he is the blessed father of 5 children and the fortunate husband of his high-school sweetheart.

In 2002, Dr. Nuzum graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree in journalism and communication from The Ohio State University. Subsequently, He graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (2006). He returned to Ohio State to complete a combined three year fellowship and endodontic residency, earning his master’s degree. His graduate research involved the study of various protocols for the introduction of profound local anesthesia in endodontic procedures. And in 2010 at The National Conference for the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Nuzum received the First-Place Award in an international competition for his master’s research in anesthesia. This research was then published in the June 2010 issue of the Journal of Endodontics.

Dr. Nuzum has served both as a full-time faculty member and as a clinical teaching assistant at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, instructing in pain management, emergency diagnoses, and endodontic procedures over predoctoral students. After more than 11 years at The Ohio State University, one could describe him as a true Buckeye.

On a more personal side, Dr. Nuzum enjoys donating his clinical expertise in overseas missions, providing dental services to underserved patients who previously had no access to dental care. Outside of dentistry, he spends the majority of his time with his loving family. He also enjoy snow skiing, golf, and serving at his local church.
